Kelly Misa in person

Monday, April 30th, 2007

Kelly Misa is my In Person number one simply because I last saw her 6 hours ago – at the Alabang Town Center, particularly in front of the cinema ticket booths. If you frequent Alabang Town Center, there are more chances of seeing her than bumping in to an old friend. She is probably there as often as Nicole Hernandez. In person, Kelly Misa does not standout in a crowd. She is not that attention-grabbing. I almost always see her in flip-flops, shorts and a shirt, and, always with her boyfriend. However, if and when you spot her, there’s no mistaking why she is one of our top models. Probably around 5′7″, her skin is as smooth as silk, perfect, and her beauty is one where you find her more beautiful the more you see her.

But wait

I remember approaching her in BPI Town Center back when I was desperate for Bembang! interview candidates. I don’t know how but I just somehow mustered some guts to ask her (in front of her bf) if it would be ok to schedule an interview with her. I asked for her manager’s number which she easily gave out even if I didn’t have any proof of my identity. I didn’t feel a hint of taray with the way she responded. So I guess I have to add that she is a approachable and humble (looks smart too) apart from the already established beautiful.

The In Person series

Monday, April 30th, 2007

So celebrities are always good search phrases right? Yes they are, most especially here in the Philippines where there’s still a little more internet usage maturity needed. So instead of babbling away about the latest gossips or copying other articles and or rephrasing them just to land a potential visit from a celebrity-Googler, I thought of starting a gimmick to be able to use celebrity names in this blog. Yes I have been dropping celebrity names here and there, but they are not actual post titles; except of course for some personal encounters.

The In Person series

The In Person series is a series of blog posts that are about celebrities which I have seen in person. There’s no need for an exchange of words, just me actually seeing them in the flesh. I’ll just report on what I saw, thought, and felt. So, as personal as a blog is, there will be no copyright infringement, plagiarism, and idea theft here, just plain old personal thoughts. Shall we begin?

I heart Maria Ozawa

Sunday, April 29th, 2007

First off I would like to thank my college buddies for exposing me to the world of Maria Ozawa. I have not looked back ever since.

Maria Ozawa, also known as Miyabi in Japan, is a half-Japanese, half-French-Canadian porn goddess. Some do not totally agree with her profession but hey, I think there’s no better way for her to entertain us. There are angles of her that are unmistakably Angelica Panganiban (a plus for Angelica fantasizers), but she has a body that needs no Photoshop editing.

Ave Maria

Let me just lead you to some links to get you more acquainted. Her blog, but you won’t be able to understand anything from that, this collection of wallpapers where I stole the picture below from, her Wikipedia page, which is almost always the first and last resort (not for Maria Ozawa I assure you), this Play Asia page where you can buy her videos, and, this blog entry and this blog entry, so I get a trackback to this post. Time to replenish your tissue stock. Enjoy.

Finally, an update – October 5, 2008

For those of you who have been living under a rock, let me just inform you that Maria Ozawa has now “clearly” exposed her private parts in, currently, four video releases from XVN.eu. Maria Ozawa in “Sofa Shakedown,” “Fast Sucking Venus,” “Strip for Me,” and “Paradise Hotel.” Google it, ok?

That new Filinvest exit

Saturday, April 28th, 2007

South Luzon Expressway

Actually, it has been there for a while; I first encountered it probably sometime in February, but recent beer-drinking sessions obliged me to dicuss the matter further. I myself missed the exit twice – the first time was of course excusable and the second time, well, let’s just say ten years of going out the same exit on a near daily basis is hard to undo.

Northerners: What the hell is this guy talking about?

The old Filinvest, Alabang exit – the one right after the Alabang bridge has been closed indefinitely. To access Filinvest, there’s a new exit right before the real Alabang exit – the one that leads you under the bridge and into the Metropolis chaos zone. It can be missed easily - which then brings you to the Susana Heights exit just to go back northbound-SLEX and exit Filinvest in the opposite side. Remember, the new exit is before the Alabang bridge and right before the real Alabang exit.

Inihaw Republic is now Route 196

Saturday, April 28th, 2007

Inihaw Republic, that cool gig place slash restaurant slash bar along Katipunan Avenue is now called Route 196. Their slogan: “All roads lead to Route 196.” And in their logo: Route 196: music, art, resto, bar. I’m not really sure if the ownership changed but I can’t seem to find anything wrong with the old management. They have a Multiply site, check it out. Check out my photos of the place as well. And, if you haven’t already done so, visit the place. It’s nice. I should get paid for this.

Ridin’ Low celebrity weekend carfest

Friday, April 27th, 2007

I just saw another auto show being plugged in Solar Sports. It starts today, April 27 until the 29th and will be held in Metrowalk, Pasig city. I don’t have that much details. I remember seeing a couple of artists scheduled to play, hip-hop mostly and Kjwan probably the only band there.

Wondering though why they called it a celebrity weekend carfest. I’m guessing it’s that annual show organized by the Gutierrez brothers, which last year was held somewhere in the middle of the reclamation area in Manila.

What do I need a reader for?

Thursday, April 26th, 2007

Do you see that blue button on the right side of this blog that says “something-number-of readers via feedburner?” That is the link to the feed of my blog’s content. When you use a reader, and you are subscribed to my blog’s feed, you view the content of my blog from another program or site. Take note, I said program – becuase there are readers that you can download and site – because there are readers that are online. Just like there’s Outlook (program) and Gmail (online) for emails.

That’s stupid

That’s what I thought of also when I first heard about readers. You see, if you read only a couple of blogs, there’s really no need for a reader. But, let’s say you read about 10 blogs in one day. You go to blog # 1, read the new posts for that day, then you go to blog # 2 and find out that blogger # 2 did not update. Then you go to blog # 3 who updated, and blog # 4 who did not update, and so on. You just wasted half of your time visiting blogs that had the same content since you last visited the sites.

Now, imagine a site (or a program) which can sort out all of that for you. You open the reader, like you would open a mail program, then see only the newest posts or articles which you have not read; just like there are a number of unread emails when you check mail.

Try it out

I suggest Google reader. Like Gmail, it’s simple and dead-on only-the-stuff-you-need and then some in it’s feature list. When you click on that blue button on the right, it well lead you to a page that will let you choose which online reader to use.  By the way, if you already have Gmail, then you already have an account with Google reader. You just have to sort of activate it. Try it out.

How Big Brother should really be

Thursday, April 26th, 2007

Not for minors

The Slovenian version of the Big Brother franchise is showing us how a bunch of attractive people left for dead in a house should behave. Check out Jasmina, housemate of Slovenia-Pinoy Big Brother exchange Tina Seholic, strip to a mere pair of boots in this video.

On another note, Bruce Quebral, I hear, is loved by the Slovenian girls.

Restructuring bilyar.NET

History

Launched April of 2006, I originally installed the forum software on the root folder of www.bilyar.net. It was sort of a trial and error thing. People registered but I have been unable to get new and unfamiliar users to participate in the forums. “Unfamiliar” being people who are not already registered in other billiards forums. The forum is quite active, but spam is more abundant. But, along the way I have met new friends and fellow pool addicts. Which is good.

Now part of Bembang! Blogs

Most of the stuff I talk about in this blog anyway is about billiards. In the beginning I blogged mostly about personal billiards experiences but lately, I’ve found myself blogging about current events. Like reporting, not blogging. Now, bilyar.NET has an articles portion. And since I’ve fallen in love with Wordpress’ simplicty and power, I didn’t even give other CMS’s a look. I moved the forum, installed Wordpress in the root, etc. in less than 2 hours. And well, for leverage I added bilyar.NET to Bembang! Blogs as a “bilyar blog.” So now I have two blogs, billiards topics will be lessened here but not removed.
