Live Earth concert

Saw this over at Inquirer, just thought it was really cool. On July 7, 8 simultaneous concerts, in seven continents, will be held over a 24-hour period. Concerts will be held at New York, Hamsburg, London, Tokyo, Shangai, Sydney, Johannesburg and Rio de Janeiro. The event marks the beginning of a multi-year campaign to solve global warming; the venues will showcase the latest state-of-the-art energy efficiency from on-site power generation. Kevin Wall and Mr. Global Warming himself, Al Gore, partnered for the event.

Among the biggest acts that are part of the concert include Metallica, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Foo Fighters, Bloc Party, Keanne, Madonna, all in London. And, Dave Matthews Band, Alicia Keys, Smashing Pumpkins and The Police in New York.

Meanwhile, in the Philippines

Hey, we have a major concert on July 7 as well, but it has nothing to do with Live Earth. Head on over to The Fort to watch Christina Aguilera. Har, har.
