Also, “Chuck theme song”
Now this is one cool theme song. It is the one with the cool guitar riff in the intro-credits of the show. That song is entitled “Short Skirt/Long Jacket” and was done by the band Cake. Remember Cake? Them who sang I Will Survive from the circa 1996 album Fashion Nugget? Anyway, “Short Skirt/Long Jacket” came from the 2001-released album Comfort Eagle.
You can download the song or the whole album in Napster. It’s free if you get the free trial membership.
You like Joey also? I do. Most people say it’s not funny but I say otherwise. Joey is indeed funny. But, it’s only a sixth as funny as Friends. Anyway, the opening song from Joey, the one that goes “yeah, yeah, yeah, you wanna be alright you gotta walk tall,” is entitled “Sunny Hours,” by the band Long Beach Dub Allstars. It came from their 2001-released album entitled Wonders of the World. The band disbanded in 2002.
Men, men, men
The one that goes “Men, men, men, men, manly man…” Well it’s not actually sung by Charlie Sheen, Jon Cryer and Angus T. Jones. They’re just lip syncing in the promotional video. One of the performers of the song, kind of like a croon song, is E.G. Daily – Elizabeth Daily. She is best known for doing the voice of “Tommy Pickles” on Rugrats and “Buttercup” on The Powerpuff Girls. I bet you didn’t know that.
This post is an experiment. I do Internet Marketing for a living, I use this personal blog of mine to do experiments on search engines. But, as always, these posts are useful for some. Also, I really do enjoy Two And A Half Men, it’s one of my favorites. Here’s a video of the theme song.
With free download
Here I go again with my theme song series. Forgive me but it has given this blog good traffic. This time it is information on the theme song for the show Overhaulin’ from the TLC network. Overhaulin’ is not really shown in Philippine television, I watch the show from the internet. It’s a pity because it is one of the best car shows at present. It also features the works of Chip Foose; in the world of cars, if you don’t know Chip, you know nothing.
Anyway, the theme song for Overhaulin’ is played at the very first part of the show and goes “I am, gasoline… and she is…” The song is obviously entitled “Gasoline” and is sung by the band Kicking Harold. It is the fourth track from their album Space Age Breakdown. Here’s a bonus. Download Kicking Harold’s Gasoline. This song reminds me of early Alice In Chains material.
Also, the Star World theme song
The one that goes “Ooo, la-lari-lari” or “Ooh, pa-rari-rari” or “Doom, da-da-di-da-di.” Whichever you choose. Then continues to “Everybody’s gonna love today, love today, love today.”
Most probably, you are here because like me (a couple of days ago), I searched for the title and artist of that song that they play in Star World. They play it every commercial when they plug their shows. Kind of like Black Eyed Peas’ Let’s Get It Started before.
The song is called “Love Today.” It is sung by Mika, a Lebanon-born, London-based singer. The song “Love Today” is Mika’s fourth single from his debut album entitled Life in Cartoon Motion, which was only released last April.
Here’s a bonus. Download Mika’s Love Today.
Also, “The Grey’s Anatomy theme song”
Might as well do another theme song post. The theme song from Grey’s Anatomy – the one that starts the show, and starts with that which sounds like a xylophone, is from a British group called Psapp. The title of the song is “Cosy in the Rocket.” It came from an album called “Ben & The Bad Seeds.” If this post succeeds, I will upload a copy of the song. Meanwhile, I have it here and if you want a copy just leave your email in the comments. If you have Multiply, you can also search for it there. Just key in “Grey’s Anatomy theme” in the search box.
I just have to add though, there’s a confusion with another Psapp song which is also included in the Grey’s Anatomy sountrack. The other song is “In My Head.” This is also in the soundtrack but it is not the one that starts the show.
Also, “CSI: New York theme song”
The last among the CSI theme song posts. The theme from CSI: NY is entitled “Baba O’Riley” by the English band The Who. “Teenage Wasteland” is probably the most popular misnomer for this song—as it is the most evident line in the chorus. It also came from the album Who’s Next just like CSI: Miami’s Won’t Get Fooled Again The song is very popular and has been covered by the likes of Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Mr. Big and The Flaming Lips.

Hello all, please check my new blog, Theme Songs, inspired by posts like these. Check out some of my posts like the theme song from Intervention. Thank you.
Also, “CSI: Miami theme song”
The theme song for CSI: Miami is entitled “Won’t Get Fooled Again” which is again performed by the band The Who; just like in CSI, just like in CSI: NY. It was composed by Pete Townshend, the band’s singer and guitarist, and came from the album Who’s Next which was released in 1971 under Polydor.
Also, “CSI: Las Vegas theme song”
The theme song from CSI is entitled “Who Are You” by the band The Who. It was also from the album called “Who Are You,” released in 1978, and is the last album of The Who with Keith Moon (deceased) as drummer.
Ever since my Entourage entry was picked-up by Google I have added some more theme song posts of my favorite shows.
Because, all CSI (Crime Scene Investigation) theme songs were sung by the band The Who. Most probably, Anthony E. Zuiker, the show’s creator, is a big fan. The Who is a popular English band in the 1960’s-1970’s. They are also considered as one of the greatest live bands ever – because of their intense performances. They also probably pioneered the “smashing the instruments” at the end of their shows, throwing away the bits and pieces to the audience. The most popular members of The Who are Pete Townshend and the deceased Keith Moon.
